Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and Citizen Group LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company ("we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using invio (goinvio.com) and its services (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

invio provides personal finance automation and planning tools, including:

  • Investment strategy design and account prioritization
  • Portfolio growth forecasting and projections
  • FIRE and Coast FIRE calculators
  • Tax-efficient asset location optimization
  • Pension and Social Security integration
  • Retirement withdrawal strategy planning
  • Portfolio rebalancing trade list
  • Community features (questions, ideas, bugs)

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a binding contract to use the Service. The Service is intended for users in the United States. You represent that the information you provide is accurate and that you will keep it updated.

4. Account and Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized access.

5. Not Financial Advice

INVIO PROVIDES CALCULATORS, PROJECTIONS, AND EDUCATIONAL TOOLS ONLY. Nothing in the Service constitutes investment, tax, legal, or other professional advice. Nothing in the Service is a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any security or investment. For additional investment and regulatory disclosures, see our Disclosures page.

The Service is a tool you use to plan for yourself. It calculates results from the information you enter and the settings you choose, and every decision about your money is yours. We receive no commissions, fund fees, referral fees or payments for placement from any fund, broker or other product provider in connection with the Service, and we charge no fee based on the value of your assets.

Citizen Group LLC is not a registered investment advisor (RIA), broker-dealer, FINRA member, certified financial planner (CFP), certified public accountant (CPA), or attorney. Using the Service does not create any fiduciary, advisory, or professional relationship between you and us.

6. No Responsibility for Your Finances

WE HAVE NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR YOUR FINANCES OR ANY OUTCOMES. We do not guarantee or warrant any result from your financial decisions. We are not responsible for any losses, damages, or adverse consequences arising from your use of the Service or your financial decisions. You are solely responsible for your financial decisions and their outcomes, including what you enter and the settings and presets you use.

7. No Accuracy Guarantee

Projections, estimates, forecasts, and all information displayed in the Service are illustrative and for educational purposes only. We make no warranty that such information is accurate, complete, or current. Past performance does not guarantee future results. You must independently verify any information before relying on it for financial decisions.

The presets the Service offers (for example, the tax and account rule template with its tax brackets, deductions, contribution limits and distribution ages; growth and inflation assumptions, allocation mixes, a default savings order and example funds) are starting points provided "as is", without any warranty or guarantee of accuracy, completeness, currency or suitability for you. You decide which values your plan uses; presets you keep and values you enter or change are your own assumptions.

8. Professional Consultation

Before making significant financial decisions, you should consult qualified professionals—such as a certified financial planner, CPA, attorney, or licensed investment advisor—who understand your individual circumstances, goals, and risk tolerance.

9. Service "As Is"

THE SERVICE, INCLUDING ALL PRESETS, PROJECTIONS AND RESULTS, IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. We disclaim all warranties to the maximum extent permitted by law.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CITIZEN GROUP LLC AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, PUNITIVE, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES, OR ANY FINANCIAL LOSSES RESULTING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, RELIANCE ON ANY INFORMATION DISPLAYED, OR DECISIONS MADE BASED ON THE SERVICE.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Citizen Group LLC, its affiliates, and their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or any financial decisions you make based on information from the Service.

12. Prohibited Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any illegal purpose
  • Impersonate any person or entity
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or other accounts
  • Use automated means (scraping, bots) without our permission
  • Interfere with the operation of the Service
  • Resell or redistribute the Service without authorization
  • Copy, modify, decompile, disassemble or reverse engineer the Service, or attempt to derive its source code, calculation methods, formulas, parameters or assumptions
  • Submit inputs in bulk or in a systematic way, by any means, to reconstruct, approximate or replicate how the Service calculates its results
  • Use the Service, its results or any part of it to build, train or improve a competing product or service, or any machine learning or artificial intelligence model
  • Open multiple accounts, or share an account, to get around usage limits or these Terms

13. Ownership and License

The Service, including its software, calculation methods, models, formulas, parameters, assumptions, data compilations, design, text, graphics and the invio name and logo, is owned by Citizen Group LLC and its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, trade secret and other laws. All rights not expressly granted to you in these Terms are reserved.

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your own personal financial planning. This license does not include any right to use the Service for the benefit of third parties or for commercial purposes, except as we agree in writing.

The financial information you enter remains yours. You grant us only the rights needed to store it, process it and show you results, as described in our Privacy Policy. You may download or delete it at any time.

If you send us suggestions or feedback, we may use them without obligation to you.

14. Fees and Payments

Paid subscriptions are processed through Stripe. By subscribing, you agree to Stripe's terms and our billing practices. Fees are non-refundable except as required by law or as we may permit in our sole discretion.

15. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for any reason. You may close your account at any time in Settings. Your account closes right away and your subscription stops renewing; unused paid time is not refunded (see Fees and Payments). Your data is permanently deleted 30 days later unless you cancel the deletion before then. You can download your data at any time, including during those 30 days. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including ownership and license restrictions, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnification) will survive.

16. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Wyoming.

17. Changes

We may amend these Terms at any time. We will post the updated Terms on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the amended Terms.

18. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
